Sri Lanka records over 430 bird species comprising endemic, resident and migrant birds. The wide verity of birds found in Sri Lanka makes it a prime bird watching destinations in the world. Almost all endemic birds has been recorded in Sinharaja Rain Forest. A combined visit to Sinharaja, Bodhinagala, Kitulgala, Hortain Plains, Hakgala, Kandy and National parks in the south including northern forests minneriya and dambulla can cover most of the birds listed.
